Teddy Riley was the producer of Blackstreet’s single, “Don’t Leave Me.”
It includes a fragment from the DeBarge song “A Dream,” which was also sampled in the recent Tupac Shakur song “I Ain’t Mad at Cha.”
The song’s lead vocalists are Chauncey Hannibal, Mark Middleton, and Eric Williams.
“Don’t Leave Me,” which was released in February 1997, peaked at No. 1 in the UK and spent two weeks atop the New Zealand Singles Chart in May 1997.
On the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart, it reached its high in the US at position No. 12.
